1040Bibles
Providing audio Bibles for believers without access to God’s Word across the 10/40 Window.
Across the 10/40 Window, the church is growing where the Gospel has not been heard before.
These new believers are often in remote, isolated locations where access to a Bible is difficult. In some places, there is a total drought of God’s Word because of poverty, instability, and lack of production.
Since 2023, we have worked closely with partners across West Africa and other regions, who are seeing immense numbers come to Christ. Oftentimes, these new believers have no options for accessing the Bible.

Method: Why Audio Bibles?
Broader Accessibility
Many believers in the 10/40 Window cannot read; an audio Bible allows them to hear God’s Word in their own language.
Smaller Form Factor
An audio Bible on a microSD card is easier to conceal and carry in large volumes.
Available Devices
While smartphones and internet access are rare in some of these regions, many families have basic phones in which microSD cards can be played. Solar-powered players are another way the cards can be listened to in remote villages.
Speed of Duplication
One duplicator can process 47 cards at a time and approximately 400 cards an hour. We currently have 5 duplicators which means approximately 2,000 microSD cards can be duplicated in an hours’ time.

Location: Why work in regions such as West Africa?
We are working closely with contacts and ministries in West Africa. In this region, the gospel is going forth, thousands are becoming believers, and hundreds of churches are being planted. A great need is Bibles for these new believers. Many do not have access to a copy of God’s Word.
Unfortunately, many people in regions such as West Africa are illiterate and a physical Bible is unusable. Audio Bibles have emerged as a practical alternative. The microSD cards are write-protected so the Bible cannot be deleted or modified. We are also providing some solar-powered players the cards can be played in.

Opportunity
We aim to distribute at least 100,000 microSD card Bibles in 2026.
$2 provides one audio Bible to a new believer in the 10/40 Window.
Reflections from trips to West Africa
REALITIES
One thing that came out of traveling to West Africa was the realization of villages steeped in pagan worship, including child sacrifice. Some villages had been converted as recently as a few months ago. One mother, amidst her testimony of thankfulness, shared the sobering reality: You came too late. Our children would still be here if only you had come sooner.
In a small African village, a man lived who had never learned to read. Whenever the preacher visited, carrying a thick book brimming with words beyond his understanding, the man would join the gathering, listening with great care. He absorbed the stories of Jesus and acts of kindness that the preacher recounted, feeling a gentle warmth spread within him as he heard about God’s love reaching people just like himself. Though the letters and pages remained incomprehensible, he often asked his children to share what they had learned at church, treasuring those words that gave him hope. Even without the ability to read, the Gospel’s message found a home in his heart through the power of spoken words and the memories he cherished.
These stories highlight how impactful the gift of audio Bibles is for those who are illiterate.
