TESOL CERTIFICATION

TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is one of the most versatile platforms we have found to connect with people in unreached areas. There is great demand for native English speakers, so this offers a needed and appreciated platform for ministry opportunities. Is this training a next step for you in reaching the unreached with the light of the Gospel?

Next training dates: February 16 - March 13, 2026

TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is an excellent platform for ministry on foreign fields as well as among immigrants and refugees in the U.S. Our vision is to give students the tools and experience they need to effectively teach English, and through those relationships, spread the Good News of Christ.

Some former students of this course have used their TESOL training to work in closed regions in the Middle East, and some have used the training to work with refugees in the U.S. who came from areas in the 10/40 Window. Sometimes students who take the class have no definite plans for using their training but want to be prepared if God should call them into ministry. We strive to keep costs to a minimum since many of our students will be in service.

COURSE OVERVIEW

TESOL is an internationally recognized and accepted course. We offer it as an intensive, 4-week study program of 100 hours of lectures, 40 hours of assignment preparation, and 26 hours of hands-on training. The class covers topics such as: linguistics, theories and styles of learning, methods of teaching reading, writing, listening, grammar and pronunciation, lesson planning, classroom management, testing, and more. The course is taught by an experienced instructor who has taught more than 100 TESOL courses.

Students give classroom presentations, make lesson plans and teach practice classes, which are evaluated by the instructor.

CERTIFICATION

The course meets international TESOL requirements. Students receive a certificate and letter which is accepted (usually at a university level) to teach English anywhere in the world.
